  1. Installing and Using the Netnews Filter Agent suite.

  3. When you installed the archive all three applications were installed in a
  4. folder on your mac.
  5.  
  6. They must all be run from the same folder.
  7.  
  8. NetNews Grazer Prefs runtime
  9. ----------------------------
  10.  
  11. This is a FaceSpan application that sets your preferences. Please run this
  12. application first. Use the Balloon Help to learn what the different options do.
  13.  
  14. You must provide a valid NNTP News server address.
  15.  
  16. NetNews Grazer runtime
  17. ----------------------

  19. This is the AppleScript application that checks for news. You cannot run it
  20. until you have set your initial preferences using NetNews Grazer Prefs runtime.

  22. Once you have set up your preferences, you may start this application up and
  23. leave it running in the background. It will check for new news as often as
  24. you have set in your preferences. It does not check for news while either of the
  25. other applications is running. The other apps will start this app if it
  26. is not running, because they need to set values within it. The grazer will stop by
  27. itself after they are finished (if it was not running already.)

  32. This is a FaceSpan application that lets you read news articles found by
  33. the NetNews Grazer. Use the Balloon Help to learn what the different options do.
  34. Remember that the Grazer stops looking at news while you are reading!

  42. If you have any problems, there are some simple steps you can take that will make
  43. it easier for me. First, try to write down exactly what you did. You may also
  44. want to note what the computer did! Then email a report to me (js12@gte.com) with a
  45. subject of BUGS!BUGS!BUGS!
